Create an Account and Get an API Key
The AI analysis in both KuaiJiZi tutors is optional and needs your own LLM API key. DeepSeek is recommended in China, OpenRouter internationally — registration is free and takes only a few minutes.
Option 1 (Recommended in China): DeepSeek
Open the website — visit platform.deepseek.com in your browser and sign up / log in (phone code or email).
Go to “API keys” — choose API keys in the left-hand menu.
Create a key — click “Create API key”, enter a recognizable name (e.g. kuaijizi) and confirm.
Copy & save — the key is shown only once right after creation; copy it immediately and keep it safe.
Add it to the app — open your KuaiJiZi tutor → Settings → AI provider, paste the key and pick a model (e.g. the deepseek-chat family).

Option 2 (International): OpenRouter
Open the website — visit openrouter.ai and sign up / log in with Google, GitHub or email.
Open the Keys page — avatar → Settings → Keys (or go straight to openrouter.ai/settings/keys).
Create a key — click “Create Key”, enter a name and confirm; an optional credit limit can be set (leave empty for no limit).
Copy & save — the key is shown only once; copy it right away.
Add it to the app — choose OpenRouter as the provider in Settings, paste the key, then pick a model from the in-app list (DeepSeek example: deepseek/deepseek-chat).

Three common API key questions
My key leaked. What now?
Delete the key on the provider's Keys page and create a new one, then replace it in the KuaiJiZi app settings.
Error 401 or invalid key?
Check that the key was pasted completely with no stray spaces; make sure it hasn't been deleted and your account still has balance or credit.
How does billing work?
The provider bills usage directly — KuaiJiZi is not involved. If you don't use AI analysis, no fees are incurred at all.
Key configured? Enjoy AI analysis
Once the key is pasted into the app's Settings, AI explanations and error analysis are ready to use.
